BATCHOY...

I was reading several of JK's write-ups at Atomicgirl.net when this post instantly drew sadness on my face. It was about this woman, a really nice woman who never failed to make our yummy batchoy as delectable as ever, served with a warm smile and accomodation. Yes, our group was very much welcome to their place, the RCT. And this woman, "Tiya", never failed to greet us with a smiling face. We often visit the place at around 5 in the afternoon, and leave after 3 hours or more, until we can decide where to enjoy our Matador nights. You can always spot Tiya walking around the compound, or computing bills and serving food to other customers.

I've been thinking about those happy afternoons when we were still working together, or even those disappointing jobless days. Anyhow, we never felt so good, jolly and satisfied during those times when we were like sharing funny or corny stories (courtesy of JK), laughing like crazy or just plain hanging out with the gang waiting for our smokin' hot batchoys to be served on our small table with a huge umbrella...it was like a garden resto set-up, which is cool. The mosquitoes were there too, and I guess they were enjoying as well. But we got used of their stinging bites as months passed by.

I was informed by JK and Jho d' Sexy about the sad news one sunny afternoon. And I was like, "What?!" I was instantly saddened and felt so weak. Tiya was sick... And her stay here on earth will soon be over. Days have passed and Tiya's time... finally arrived. We all prayed for her soul to find eternal peace and happiness. And we are very sure that she's in good hands wherever she is right now...with God of course.
